Everyones in the class looked sooo good but i noticed that they were all really harsh looking and quite masculine in a way, i think i may end up being the only person with a really feminine garment.
When i was doing some research i came across a book about Issey Miyake, one of the pictures was so incredible (i am going to try and scan it in later for you all to see) it was like a gathering of angels and it really took my breathe away at the sheer beauty of it.
Speaking of which, i was watching Ugly Betty the other night and she was put in charge of doing the press release for a designer who made his dresses with razor blades, glass and all other sharp materials and and hats out of barbed wire. The dresses were all black but they all sparkled because of the metal and glass, they all had the most amazing wings attached to them and i was just completely in awe of the designer for making them. The only word i could use to describe them was beautiful. If you say to someone that a dress was made with glass and razor blades i think beauty is the last thing they would think of but they were completely and utterly magnificent. They were so dark but yet so sparkling and the light reflected off them so incredibly it was like looking at an angel. If you have ever read the book or seeing the film Skellig then you will hopefully know what i mean when i say that these dresses would not have looked out of place if they had been worn by angels like Skellig. Amazing!
